IMPORTANT Lincoln Day Dinner Update! Realizing that Lenten fasting prohibits Catholics from eating either meal choice, a fish option has been added. If you want to be served fish this coming Friday instead of chicken or ham (for any reason) YOU MUST CONTACT CAROL BY THIS WEDNESDAY MORNING at 763-370-1436 or [email protected]. Please spread the word to friends who may not have seen this announcement. (And tell them to check their SPAM folders to find these newsletters.)

It is not too late to reserve a place at Friday's dinner but please RSVP to Carol, so we know how much food to make. More info is available on the events page.
Things local Republicans will be doing this Tuesday

Republican Women gather on Tuesday mornings from 9 - 11 AM at headquarters. Ladies are welcome to stop by for some informal social time.

RPDC Movie Night - Come and bring a friend!
Chippewa Falls County Board meeting - Some of us will be driving to a Chippewa Falls County Board meeting Tuesday night to show our support for a resolution to halt refugee resettlement in the Chippewa Valley until federal law is being followed and communities have a chance to assess their realistic ability to help these newcomers. If that is the sort of thing you like to do, email Joyce at the address below. We would love to have you on our team.
The Chippewa Valley made FOX national news this week!
This is regarding our local battle to rein in the illegal overreach of a newly-opened refugee resettlement office in Eau Claire with a 100 mile resettlement radius. The video at the top of the FOX news story is strangely unrelated but the article is quite good.
I wrote an overview article about this issue on my Menomonie Matters blog late last year if you need to get caught up to speed.

New Headquarters Hours! Now you can stop by to get some great MAGA Merch, to donate money to our good work, or to just say "HI" on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. That is 4 PM till 7 or 8 (depending on when Tom calls "bedtime.") Our daytime hours are still shifting around a little bit. As election season heats up, expect those hours to expand and for us to be looking for lots of volunteer help. See our current hours here.
New, updated Events page. Check it out. There is a lot going on.

Edition 1
Welcome to the First Edition of Republican Radar, a brief summary of what conservatives near you are talking about, to help you stay involved.
County Caucus – January 27 @ HQ
This is our big annual business meeting. All Members in Good Standing were sent a postcard invitation to this event. If you didn't get one, it is probably time to pay your dues. Here's how. You are still welcome to come hang out with us. Registration is at 9:30 AM and the agenda begins at 10. Refreshments will be provided.
SDMA School Referendum – February 20
In the entire county of Dunn there are no local races requiring a February run-off this year. Republicans residing within the boundaries of the School District of the Menomonie Area should mark their calendars, though, to go to the polls on February 20 for a school referendum. Low voter turnout can be expected, giving your vote SUPERPOWERS! Click here for more information from a Republican point of view.
The Republican Party of Dunn County is not particularly suggesting a yes or no vote. A case can be made for either.
Click here to take a poll and tell us if you support the referendum.
Results will be posted in a future Republican Radar newsletter.
Plan ahead

March 9 - Faith, Family and Freedom Concert at HQ
April 2 - Very Important local governmental elections
Author's note: I am delighted to be joining the Executive Board as RPDC Media-Communications Director. It will be a lot of work learning how to competently use the NationBuilder website and communication system. Your patience is appreciated. Statements made in this newsletter are my own. If you think I got something wrong or have suggestions, please email me at [email protected].
Thanks, Joyce Uhlir
